Acoustic neuroma
Many people are terrified when they first hear that they have a growing tumor in their head. An Acoustic neuroma is noncancerous (benign) and generally slow growing. As well identified as vestibular schwannoma, the Acoustic neuroma is one of the most frequent types of brain tumors. In case of an Acoustic neuroma hearing loss can occur, that is caused by the tumor pushing on the nerve. Luckily, Acoustic neuromas do not attack brain tissue such as cancer. Sometimes an Acoustic neuroma stays so small that it never causes problems. Optional treatment methods in case of an Acoustic neuroma are the following: regular monitoring, radiation and surgical intervention.

Broken nose
A broken nose, also known as a nasal fracture, refers to any break or crack in the bony portion of the nose. The most common place for the break to occur is the bridge of the nose. A broken nose is typically caused by trauma arising from road accidents, contact sports, fights or falls. A broken nose is usually accompanied by pain, swelling and bruising around the nose and below the eyes. The nose may also appear crooked and one may have breathing difficulties. A broken nose is generally treated non-surgically by bringing the nose into its previous position. In more severe breaks, surgery might be necessary.
