Achilles tendon rupture
Achilles tendon rupture is a damage that affects the backside of the lower leg. It most frequently happens to people playing fun sports. The Achilles tendon is a strong tough cord that connects the muscles in the back of the calf to the heel bone. If you overextend the Achilles tendon, it can rip (rip apart). An Achilles tendon can rupture partly or entirely. In case of an Achilles tendon rupture, the patients possibly feel a pop or crack. The Achilles tendon rupture results in abrupt pointed pain in the back of the ankle and generally also in the lower leg. The pain makes it impractical to walk. A surgical involvement is, in most cases, the best choice of treatment to fix an Achilles tendon rupture.

ACL injury
When the anterior cruciate (KROO-she-ate) ligament in the knee tears the accurate term for that is ACL injury. The ACL injury could make the knee feel wobbly or slack, and the knee can also give way when doing sports activities to fast. Although an active lifestyle benefits your overall health, exercise isn't always easy on your knees. The anterior cruciate ligament is especially susceptible to the demands of certain sports, such as volleyball, gymnastics, basketball, soccer and football. Treatment of an ACL injury may include surgery to replace the torn ligament, along with an intense rehabilitation program. As for prevention, if your favourite sport involves pivoting or jumping, a proper training program can help you avoid an ACL injury.

Broken ankle/broken leg
A broken ankle and or broken foot are somewhat widespread. The human body has more than 24 bones in each foot. The bones take the weight every time you walk, run or play sports such as tennis, basketball or soccer. Whether a broken ankle or foot is a serious situation depends on the fracture and its location. The variety goes from fractures that are little cracks in the bones to devastating breaks that perforate the skin. A major broken ankle or broken foot possibly will require surgery to place wires, plates, rods or screws into the broken and fractured bone to sustain appropriate position during healing process.

Broken arm
Much like broken hand or wrist, broken arm is often the result of falling onto an outstretched hand. Prompt medical aid is important for a broken arm as this helps to ensure correct healing. Treatment of a broken arm depends on the location and severity of the break. In a simple break, the broken arm can be treated with cooling to reduce swelling, a sling for stabilisation and plenty of rest. In more complicated cases of broken arm, it may be necessary to surgically implant wires, screws or plates into the broken bone to ensure that the bones are positioned correctly during healing.

Broken hand/wrist
There are many bones that make up the hand and wrist. When one of these bones breaks or is cracked, one refers to a broken hand or wrist. The most common injury is the broken wrist, which typically occurs when a person falls and stretches their hand out to catch themselves. Participation in particular sports (eg snow sports, football) is considered a risk factor for a broken hand or wrist as is osteoporosis, a condition whereby the bones become brittle and break more easily. A broken hand or wrist should be treated as quickly as possible to ensure that the bones heal properly. In this way pain and stiffness in the broken hand or wrist can also be reduced.

Broken leg
A broken leg is a crack or break in one of the bones of the leg. The severity of a broken leg can vary from small hairline stress fractures to shattered breaks following serious trauma. Immediate medical aid is required for a broken leg to ensure complete healing. Treatment of a broken leg depends on the location and severity of the break. Minor breaks can be treated with a cast or splint. Severe breaks may require surgical placement of plates, wires or screws into the broken bone to ensure that the bones are positioned properly during the healing process.
