Throat cancer
Throat cancers are tumours that arise in the throat or voice box. The throat is a muscular tube that joins the space behind the nose with the airways to the lungs. The voice box is situated directly below the throat and contains the vocal cords which vibrate to produce the sounds for speech. The epiglottis, which is the lid of the windpipe above the voice box, can also be affected by throat cancer. Males are commonly more affected by throat cancer than females and usually above the age of 50. People that smoke or drink heavily are also more at risk of developing throat cancer. As in other cancers, treatment may involve surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy or a combination of these.

Umbilical hernias
Umbilical Hernias develop in and around the area of the belly button or navel. An umbilical hernia subsists when part of the intestine protrudes through a weak spot. A habitual weakness exists in the naval region in the area where vessels of the infant umbilical cord exited through the muscle of the abdominal wall after birth, although the umbilical cord disappears. A weakness or gap in the muscle may persist. With an umbilical hernia the belly button shows an irregularity and a related lump. The signs and symptoms of an umbilical hernia incorporate pain at or near the belly button area.
