The HELIOS Hospital Group ranks among the largest and most medically advanced hospital groups in Europe. A strong network of hospitals, an intensive interdisciplinary knowledge exchange among our employees and the immediate implementation of innovations, are the core of the HELIOS philosophy.

The HELIOS Hospital Group consists of 74 hospitals, 51 acute care hospitals and 23 rehabilitation centers. Among the 55 hospitals are six tertiary care hospitals in Berlin-Buch, Duisburg, Krefeld, Wuppertal, Erfurt and Schwerin. In addition HELIOS operates 13 senior residences and 36 medical provision centers and five rehab centers all over Germany. With its steadily increasing network, HELIOS reaches annually more than 2, 9 million patients, thereof around 780.000 inpatient treatments. The HELIOS Hospital Group possesses of about 23.000 beds and more than 43.000 employees.

Since its foundation in 1994 the HELIOS Group has put a strong emphasis on medical quality. HELIOS was the first hospital group to publish its medical outcome on an annual basis to create transparency on all levels.
